Oh yeah. August was a wild ride for Hide & Scratch and absolutely FLEW by!
From the nonstop madness of CatCon to my very first SuperZoo, plus the launch of the new vertical scratcher box, I feel like I barely had time to catch my breath. But I couldn’t be more excited about everything happening!

1. CatCon 2025 – I'm Still Spinning! 😵💫
|
|
I knew CatCon would be big, but I was NOT prepared for the chaos (in the best way possible).
Over 700 people spun my prize wheel in just a day and a half - so many that I had to shut things down early Saturday afternoon just to regroup and figure out how to keep up. 😅
One of my favorite parts? People stopping by to show me pictures of their cats who already had Hide & Scratch boxes at home!!

CatCon was also the first time people got a sneak peek at the new vertical scratcher box - I had hoped to have it available for purchase there, but plans didn't quite align... they didn't have to wait long though!

2. SuperZoo 🐶 😺 – Hide & Scratch Goes B2B!
|
|
Just a week later, I was in Las Vegas for SuperZoo, my first-ever B2B show! To say it was overwhelming would be an understatement (the show was MASSIVE!) - but it was also incredibly exciting. I had so many good conversations that could take Hide & Scratch in a whole number new directions.
Even more exciting: Hide & Scratch is now officially in stores!

I took orders from NINE retailers (some with multiple locations!) who are the very first to bring Hide & Scratch to their shelves. 🎉

3. AND the Vertical Scratcher Launch! 🚀

Last but not least - the release of the new vertical scratcher box! I had such a huge response to the special launch deal that I almost couldn't keep up!
I saw some of the first reviews start to come in and I can't wait to see more cats stretching, scratching, and snoozing in their new boxes! Please be sure to post pics!

This day raises awareness about pets born with physical or genetic conditions, and how we can better support their needs. Did you know that many special needs pets live happy, healthy lives with the right care?

Ahoy, matey! Today’s the day to imagine your cat as a fearless pirate captain. Bonus points for getting your cat a cat-sized pirate hat (pls share photos if you do!!)

🎉 A big paws-up to Mitsy - September's Cat of the Month!
Their human shared that Mitsy prefers her Hide & Scratch box over her Amazon ones (bc it’s just the right fit, obv). It sounds like Mitsy DOES "take turns" with Blacky but my rule is always that you need as least as many boxes as cats!!

August left me more than a little exhausted (so much so that I'm late getting this newsletter out!), but it also left me so inspired!! It feels like Hide & Scratch is stepping into a whole new chapter!!
I'm looking forward to a slightly quieter month this month as we start heading into fall, but thank you for cheering me on, sharing your photos, and helping spread the word about this one-woman business.
